Environmental Specialists You Missed on Earth Day

Fabiola Artemisa Hatley makes sure green laws and regulations are met.

Fabiola Hatley

Hatley, a Project Engineer at EarthCon Consultant Inc’s Orange, CA office, sees that clients meet their environmental obligations as legally required by drawing upon project management and environmental law and regulation experience.

She earned her BS in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, San Diego and a MS in Environmental Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.

Hatley has also done project planning, and design and execution of soil, soil-gas, and groundwater investigations, and operated and maintained remediation programs.

EarthCon Consultants is an environmental engineering, consulting and remediation firm.

The shock of her six-year career she says was experiencing the impact of the “strong and unfortunate dependence of our nation’s environmental agenda on politics.”

In 2013, Hatley was working at another firm, during the two-week government shut down. After its end, federal lack of funding and resources delayed existing projects, and slowed awarding new contracts, she says.

The geekiest thing about the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers member is an obsession with all things, whether factual or fictional, about space. The non-geekiest is that she once owned a sport motorcycle, Suzuki GSX-R600.
