Amy Mok helps protect consumers and is an engineering instructor.
Mok is a Software Developer at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in San Francisco. The CFPB is federal agency that makes markets for consumer financial products and services work for Americans.
Since last year, the former Code for America Fellow, has been an Associate Instructor and Curriculum Developer at Hackbright Academy, which calls itself the leading engineering school for women. The Academy’s courses include Intro to Programming, and there is a Software Engineering Fellowship.
Prior to the CFPB, Mok was a Software Engineer Senior at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company for 11 years. She earned her MS in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA in Computer Science at University of California, Berkeley.
