Gavin Clarkson raised more than $700 million for tribes
Clarkson, an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, is a national authority on American Indian economic development, finance, and law.
When the Associate Professor, Department of Finance at the New Mexico State University is not shaping young minds and teaching Federal Indian Law and Policy, he conducts significant research.
This includes his empirical data on Indian mascots. What’s more, he has helped tribes raise more than $700 million for tribal governmental and entrepreneurial enterprises using a variety of financial mechanisms including taxable and tax-exempt bonds.
Clarkson earned his Doctorate of Business Administration (Technology and Operations Management) from Harvard Business School. His JD from Harvard Law School, and his MBA and BA degrees at Rice University.
