Terri L. Batch uses her Mandarin to build fluent trade links.
Batch is a Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service, a division of the International Trade Administration, underneath the U.S. Department of Commerce. Her office is in West Los Angeles, California.
The official, who speaks and understands at an advanced level, leads the Global China Team. It is comprised of specialists in both the People’s Republic of China and Washington, D.C.
Batch, a Spelman College graduate with BS in Computer Science, was previously also a Global Team Leader of Design and Construction for the US Department of Commerce. Her group assisted small and medium-sized American companies to export their products and services.
The holder of a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California, acquired her Mandarin training while studying and living in institutes in Beijing, China and Taipei, Taiwan.
