Amita Joshi is a California pharmaceutical and biotechnology leader.
Joshi is a Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Genentech. The biotechnology is a subsidiary of Roche, a Swiss global health care company.
She is a member of the Genentech Women in Science and Engineering affinity group and joined Genentech in 2000. Her previous Genentech post was Senior Director, Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Modeling and Simulation.
Last year, the Professional Business Women of California organization selected Joshi as an Industry Leader.
She received her PhD in Pharmaceutics from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Pharmacology from the Grant Medical College, University of Mumbai, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the Bombay College of Pharmacy, University of Mumbai.
Joshi is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
