Bernadeta Susianti manages storm water and protects wetlands.
Originally from Indonesia, a diverse archipelago nation, with rainforests, 34,000 miles of coastline, and 256 million citizens, Susianti received her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta.
Before being hired by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation as an environmental engineer in 2009, she earned an MS Degree in Engineering from the Central Connecticut State University.
Unsurprisingly, Susianti is a member of Conservation International, a nonprofit focused on ecosystems, biodiversity and human well-being.
