Anthony Medrano works on private ventures as an intern
Medrano only received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California last year.
However, he has interned at The Aerospace Corporation for the past two years conducting a mechanical analysis of launch data from United Launch Alliance’s (ULA) Delta IV and Atlas V rockets. He has also done computational fluid dynamics simulations for Space X’s Falcon 9 second-stage rocket.
ULA is a 50-50 joint venture between Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company “to provide reliable, cost-efficient access to space for U.S. government missions.” SpaceX, is a private company, founded by Elon Musk, that designs, makes, and launches rockets and spacecraft.
Medrano, a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers earned his BS in Physics with a Chemistry minor ,from the University of San Francisco. He has completed his first year in a PhD in Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Southern California.
