Cyborg Limb Is a Finalist for the “Next Big Thing” Award in Technology

BBC reports that “the first fully integrated, microprocessor controlled, lower limb system, available in the world,” is in the running, pun intended, as a finalist list for the British Royal Academy of Engineering’s annual Mac Robert Award.
The Linx limb’s creator and source of the above quote, Endolite, has made artificial limbs since 1890. Endolite is a subsidiary of Blatchford Group, a global provider of rehabilitation devices including prosthetics, orthotics, special seating, and wheelchairs.
