Paper is Getting Smarter, but It Still Won’t Do Your Home or Office Work.
The University of Washington website reports that its Department of Computer Science & Engineering Ubiquitous Computing Lab (UBicomplab), Disney Research, and Carnegie Mellon University researchers have developed a new type of paper that will contain “drawn-on stenciled sensor tags that will have a sensing capability “that allows it to respond to gesture commands and connect to the digital world.”
The paper about the research was presented at the May 12th ACM CHI (Association of Computing Machinery Computer-Human Interaction) conference.
