Gail Crockett keeps goods and services flowing profitably.
For the past three years, Crockett has been the Director of Strategic Supply, and Supply Chain Management, at McDonald’s Corporation, which celebrated the 66th anniversary of opening its first restaurant on May 17.
She manages a more than $1.5 billion annual purchasing and category budget, and leads supplier cost reduction and material line efficiency initiatives. Crockett also established transportation and warehouse efficiency standards for clients including potato suppliers and agency vendors that produced significant annual savings.
Supply chain management is controlling how goods and services flow including the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption.
Crockett, who received her MBA in Economics and Management Strategy from Northwestern University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, is a member of the AIDS United Board of Trustees. She was hired by McDonald’s in 2002.
