The University of California-San Diego (UCSD) reports that its engineers “developed the first flexible wearable device, the Chem-Phys patch, capable of monitoring both biochemical and electric signals in the human body.”

The Chem-Phys patch could be worn on the chest and will communicate wirelessly with a smartphone, smart watch or laptop, and was developed by the UC San Diego Center for Wearable Sensors in the Jacobs School of Engineering. More on the Center.
